Included in the page book are sections on the Juniata Canal and the Portage Railroad. Professor Eugene Dayton, a noted pianist, is at present on the faculty of the Greer School and Miss Mary Davis, a talented young singer, is becoming well known on the concert stage. In their efforts to create an opportunity for both the performing and hearing of great music, this group of earnest musicians can be credited with laying the cornerstone for the later organization of the same kind.
